Hello, I was wondering if anyone could explain the Target spend percentage in the Categories tab a little more. I am new to budgeting and don't understand why I would need to track this on something like rent. Sorry if this is a dumb question or not the right place to ask. Thank you.

HI VD,

Target spending percentage is not meant for fixed outgoings like rent.

It is an indication of your spending for a specific category, for example:

you said you will spend maximum 200 on your painting hobby this month, that is there to keep track of that ceiling
